The Direct share sheet

What the person sees. The paper plane under a feed post or a carousel, in the reels viewer and in a profile's menu opens the share sheet: the item being shared and the conversations the app keeps on the device. Tapping a conversation sends the item into it.

What you do. The source screen's share() opens DirectShareSheetScreen. Its threads are the conversations, each an item whose send() sends the shared item. The type pages teach each source: a post, a carousel, a reel and a profile.

Where the conversations come from. The app's local inbox store — the threads the account's earlier visits left on the device. The sheet sends no request for them; a process that never loaded the inbox shows an empty sheet, so open the Direct inbox first.
