    A person the picker offers. Showing the row sends nothing; openThread opens the thread screen with them, and the message goes to that conversation. A lookup that answers no conversation is DirectThreadNotFoundByParticipantsError. The inbox sequence the lookup reports is session state (MobileSessionState.directInboxSeqId), read by the thread, so neither the picker nor the row carries a copy of it.
